These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SchoolMail mobile application ("the app", "we", "our"). By downloading or using SchoolMail, you agree to these Terms.

1. What SchoolMail Does

SchoolMail helps parents organize school events by reading emails that you forward to a unique email address we provide. The app extracts dates, events, and deadlines from those emails and displays them in a calendar.

2. Your Account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use SchoolMail
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• You may delete your account at any time from Settings within the app

3. Your Content and Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the emails you choose to forward to SchoolMail
• You should only forward emails that you have received and are authorized to share
• We do not claim ownership of any content you forward to us
• You agree not to use SchoolMail for any unlawful purpose or to forward content that violates the rights of others

4. How the App Works

SchoolMail uses artificial intelligence to extract event information from forwarded emails. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that every event, date, or detail will be extracted correctly.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• SchoolMail is free to download with optional in-app subscriptions for premium features
• Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings
• Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy

6. Limitation of Liability

SchoolMail is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any missed events, incorrect dates, or inaccurate information extracted from your emails
• We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the app
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

7. Service Availability

• We aim to keep SchoolMail available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
• We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time
• We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using SchoolMail and delete your account at any time. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of SchoolMail after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
